Last October 25, the Bedetti store exclusively hosted the presentation of the new Limited Edition dedicated to the European market of Grand Seiko, a Japanese haute horlogerie manufacture that celebrates the spirituality of time through the creation of extraordinary watches.
Staying true to its philosophy, Grand Seiko expresses its connection with nature in its creations, and the new SBGW303 model is a clear example of this.
The SBGW303 model, part of the Heritage collection, is inspired by Mount Iwate, which can be seen from the Shizukuishi Studio, where all Grand Seiko mechanical watches are made.
It is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic 44GS from 1967, the first Grand Seiko that defined the design fundamentals that still characterize the brand’s style today.
The dial captures the beauty of the autumn landscape when the slopes of the mountain are enriched with a complex variety of colors, in which the deep green of the forest mixes with the yellow, red, and orange of autumn leaves. A play of light and contrasts that evokes the moment when the sun begins to set in the west, the moon is still white, but its light gradually becomes more intense, until it turns into a very bright golden glow, giving this intense shade of green.
Enriching it is the gold-plated Grand Seiko logo featured on the dial.
This Limited Edition available in only 400 pieces exclusively for Europe, encapsulates the inexorability of time while staying true to Grand Seiko’s brand promise:
Alive In Time, not just telling time but living it.
