Santos de Cartier

With geometric lines, an essential design and technical innovation, the Santos watch combines classicism and pioneering spirit, making elegance one of its keystones.

Strong in its avant-garde spirit, it prioritized practicality, simplicity, and innovation when it was created in 1904: three important principles dear to Alberto Santos-Dumont. It was for him that Cartier created a wristwatch that would allow him to read the time while in flight without having to leave the controls to consult his pocket watch.

Its singular shape, attention to detail, and perfect proportions allow it to keep up with the times and imagine two new reinterpretations nowadays.

SANTOS WATCHES AND THE BOLD COLOR CHOICES

Sleek lines and optimal ergonomics: Santos is one of the iconic watches of Cartier’s design culture.

An emblematic collection in constant renewal, Santos boldly indulges in the color choice of its all-steel version.

After ultramarine blue, Cartier expands the color spectrum and dares with dark green. That’s the challenge of these new versions whose dials are tinged with shaded colors whose brilliance diffuses a metallic glow. They are all coated with a fine layer of hand-dyed lacquer. Its refinement and transparency give luster, relief and depth to the colors.

Available in two sizes-large and medium-all the watches feature the 1847MC automatic movement and two interchangeable steel and alligator bracelets, thanks to the QuickSwitch system, for which Cartier has filed a patent.
